Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how IntervalVana (“we,” “us”) handles information when you use the IntervalVana iOS app (“App”). We designed the App to work without an account.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Coach questions — text you enter in Ask AI is processed on your device and stored locally in the App.
- Custom timers & routines — work/rest settings, saved routines, and builder content you create.
- Session history — completed session summaries (duration, mode, totals) stored on your device.
- Support email — if you email us, we receive what you send (e.g. device model, description).
Information collected automatically
- On-device processing — coach suggestions, Ask answers, session tips, and stats insights are generated on your iPhone using rule-based logic. We do not send this content to our servers for AI inference.
- Subscriptions — Apple processes payments via StoreKit. We receive purchase status through Apple; we do not receive your full payment card details.
2. Optional iCloud (Continuity)
If you are a Premium subscriber and explicitly enable Continuity in Settings, saved routines and session history may sync to your private iCloud account via Apple CloudKit (iCloud.com.intervalvana.intervalvana). Continuity is off by default. Free users do not upload timer data to iCloud.
Coach Q&A history and preferences remain on your device and are not uploaded through Continuity.
Apple’s handling of iCloud data is governed by Apple’s policies.
3. How we use information
- Run timers and display your routines and history
- Provide on-device coaching and stats
- Sync routines and session history when you opt into Continuity
- Validate Premium subscriptions and restore purchases
- Respond to support requests
4. What we do not do
- We do not require you to create an account to use core timer features.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use third-party cloud LLM services to process Coach or Ask content in the current App version.
- We do not collect HealthKit data in App version 1.2.
5. Data retention & deletion
You can clear session history and saved routines in Settings. Deleting the App removes local data on your device. iCloud copies may remain until you remove them from iCloud or disable Continuity.
6. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the revised policy at this URL with an updated effective date.
